Employee Spotlight: Dedra Flemmons
During her time with Bosma, Dedra has focused on the mission of providing solutions for the Department of Veterans Affairs and the visually impaired community. She works to establish relationships with government agencies to identify opportunities for Bosma.
Dedra started her career as a bank card officer. After 10 years with the bank, she looked for a change that allowed for more flexibility and serve the community.
She began her journey in the nonprofit sector and found her passion for serving the veteran and visually impaired communities. For the first time in her career, Dedra felt as if she had a purpose and something to work for. At conferences, she was able to get to know the AbilityOne community and establish connections.
At these events, Dedra became familiar with the Bosma Enterprises brand and the capabilities of the organization. Bosma proposed a new work-life balance structure for Dedra. It meant that she got to be home more with her children.
“Bosma really does care about you as a person,” said Dedra. “They understand that if you aren’t taking care of yourself, you can’t take care of the mission. It’s an honor creating opportunities for the Blind and Visually impaired. The mission is always in the forefront of my purpose at Bosma.”
Throughout her time at Bosma Enterprises, Dedra has been pivotal in acquiring new opportunities and business growth for the organization. We look forward to watching her continue to prosper and serve our community while living out the Bosma mission.
